We're already several months into 2026, and there's been quite a bit going on as I continue the march to being on this planet for 50 years!

​

Back in 2024, I was going back and forth on whether I should reach out to Encyclopocalypse Publications about possibly joining their audiobook narrator roster. I took the risk, I sent the email, and one hour later I was invited to join the roster after they heard my samples on this very site! Now, fast forward to May of 2026, and I've submitted my fourth title for the company! So far, I' ve done two books by Damien Casey - the novelization to the cult classic film Robot Ninja and his original novella Bride of the Living Chad - and two movie tie-ins by Atom Mudman Bezecny - the novelization to The Amazing Bulk and its original sequel The Return of The Amazing Bulk (coming soon).

Between these books and the latest ones by prolific author Ronald R Van Stockum, Jr, I'm now up to my 24th audiobook: Ronald's sequel to Mister Doctor Henning called The Basaltic Labyrinth. I'm so grateful to all of these authors - as well as everyone else I've worked with over the years - for giving me the opportunity to bring their books to life.

If you're in the St Louis MO / Collinsville IL area, then I look forward to seeing you at Archon 49, the annual sci-fi / horror / fantasy convention that's become my go-to event almost every year since 2015. Last year, I took a chance and reached out to the programmers, asking if I could be a "Pro Guest," someone who takes part in multiple panel discussions, either as a panelist or a moderator. It wasn't long after I sent that request that they came back to me with the offer to be a Pro Guest for the first time at any convention. I was not only honored, I was enthusiastic about the opportunity. And I wound up taking part in over a half-dozen discussions and a solo PowerPoint presentation about how the 2002 Spider-Man film and 2006 Casino Royale film helped to bring each other to the big screen.

Well, apparently my enjoyment that weekend must have been felt by the attendees and fellow panelists because I have already been invited to be a Pro Guest again for Archon this year. Now that I know what to expect, I'm even more excited for this year, and I'm also going to work with the gaming room this year to try out the board game for From Parts Unknown. I got a great looking prototype game board printed out (thank you to Custom Blueprint for doing such an amazing job with the board, I hope all of you fellow St Louis creatives looking to add swag & signage to their setups reach out to them).
